Set up Ranknera

Five short steps take you from a new account to your first draft. Once you're signed in, the dashboard's Home page shows steps 2 to 5 as a checklist until they're done.

1. Create your account

Open ranknera.com/app and sign up with your email address; you'll get a code to confirm it. The free plan includes 3 articles a month and needs no card.

2. Connect your WordPress site

Go to Sites, choose Add a site, and enter the site's address, your WordPress username and an application password. An application password is a separate password WordPress makes for apps; it is not your login password. Connect WordPress shows where to create one and how to fix a connection that fails.

3. Add a keyword

Go to Keywords, type the search you want to rank for under Add a keyword, for example "drip irrigation layouts", and choose Add. Specific searches with a clear question behind them are easier to rank for than one broad word. Start with one or two.

4. Write your first article

Under Write an article now, pick One article and your keyword, then choose Write it now. Ranknera researches the keyword, writes, scores and revises; this takes a few minutes. You can close the page, and the phone app tells you when it's done.

5. Review the draft

The article appears under Articles with its score, and as a draft in your WordPress. Nothing is published until you approve it. Read it, edit anything you like in WordPress, then publish.
