Privacy policy

Ranknera ("we", "us") researches keywords, writes SEO articles and saves them as drafts in your WordPress site, through the website at ranknera.com and the Ranknera mobile app. This policy explains what information we handle, why, and the choices you have. Questions go to [email protected].
What we collect
- Account information: your email address and, if you sign in with Google or Apple, the account identifier that service gives us. Sign-in is handled by Clerk; we never see your Google or Apple password.
- Your WordPress connection: the site address, the WordPress username and the application password you give us, so Ranknera can save drafts to your site. You can revoke that application password in WordPress at any time.
- Your content: the keywords you add, the articles Ranknera writes, their scores and review notes, competitor domains you enter, and pages Ranknera reads from your site to match its voice.
- Usage and costs: when each run happened, how long it took, what it cost, and your monthly article count against your plan.
- Devices: if you allow notifications in the mobile app, a push token for your phone, so we can tell you when a draft is ready or a run fails.
- Technical logs: request logs with IP address, time and the page or API called, kept to run and secure the service.
We don't use advertising trackers or sell your information, and we don't track you across other apps or websites.
How we use it
- To research keywords, write, score and revise articles, and save them to your WordPress site.
- To send the notifications and account emails you'd expect, such as a draft being ready or a run failing.
- To enforce plan limits, keep the service secure and prevent abuse.
- To answer you when you contact support.
Who processes it for us
- Clerk: sign-in and account security.
- AI model providers (Google Gemini, and OpenRouter where configured): your keywords, research notes and draft text are sent to them to write, review and illustrate articles.
- DataForSEO: search results and keyword data for the keywords you add.
- Expo, Apple and Google: delivering push notifications to the mobile app.
- Our email provider: sending account emails from [email protected].
- Cloudflare: DNS and protecting ranknera.com from attacks.
- Your WordPress host: receives the drafts and images Ranknera saves to your site.
Your data is stored on servers we operate, in a database that is backed up nightly.
How long we keep it
We keep your account, sites, keywords and articles until you delete them or your account. Push tokens are removed when you sign out of the app or turn notifications off. Deleted data leaves our backups as they expire.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account in the mobile app (Settings, Delete account) or by emailing [email protected]. Deleting it removes your sign-in, your WordPress connections, keywords, articles and run history, and your devices, straight away. Drafts already saved in your WordPress site stay there; they are yours.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your information, or to object to how we use it. Email us and we'll respond within 30 days.
Children
Ranknera is a business tool and isn't meant for anyone under 16.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date above, and tell you by email if the change matters.
