Review, approve and publish

Updated October 23, 2026

Nothing goes live unless you chose that. Here is where each article ends up and what you can do with it.

Where a finished article goes

  • It passed the quality check: saved to WordPress as a draft. If you chose to publish live (Production in the bulk wizard, or Autopilot set to publish), it goes live instead, as long as it scores at least your Autopilot setting Lowest SEO score to publish; below that it is saved as a draft.
  • It didn't pass: held in Ranknera as Needs review. Nothing is sent to WordPress until you approve it.

Approve an article that needs review

Open it under Articles (or from Home), read it and its score, and choose Approve and save as draft. In the phone app it's Approve and save to WordPress. Either way it goes to WordPress as a draft for you to publish.

Publish a draft

Open the draft in WordPress, make any edits you like (they're yours; Ranknera won't overwrite them unless it refreshes the article later), and publish it as you would any post. The SEO title, description and focus keyword are already filled in for Yoast, Rank Math and All in One SEO.

When WordPress didn't save it

If the site was unreachable or refused the article, it shows as Not saved. Fix the connection (see Connect your WordPress site), then choose Publish again. That sends the same article again; it isn't rewritten and doesn't count as another article.

Finding articles

Articles → All articles lists every run with its score and status; In WordPress shows what is on your site; Calendar shows them by date.
